Judge releases evidence in Halifax man's 1999 wrongful murder conviction

A judge had ordered the full release of a federal report that prompted the exoneration of a Halifax man wrongfully convicted in 1999 of murdering a young woman. Justice James Chipman says the public is entitled to know the reason why Glen Assoun spent almost 17 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Chipman declared Assoun innocent on March 1 after the Crown dropped its case. (The Canadian Press)
