Robin L Seligman, principal of the Toronto firm, Seligman Professional Corporation, is one of the few lawyers in Ontario to be certified as a specialist in immigration law by the Law Society of Ontario (LSO).
Since obtaining her law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1982, and being called to the Bar in Ontario in 1985, she has chaired, lectured and spoken extensively for various organizations on the topic of Canadian immigration law, including the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, LSO, Insight, The Canadian Institute and Seneca College.
Ms. Seligman is past chair of the Canadian Bar Association national section for citizenship and immigration as well as past chair of the Ontario Bar Association, citizenship and immigration section.
She has appeared on television and in front of the Senate and Parliamentary committees on the topic of Canadian immigration law, and has chaired a coalition of organizations for the purpose of lobbying the federal government for changes to immigration policy.
Ms. Seligman has been asked to consult with numerous ministers of citizenship and immigration and the Departments of Citizenship and Immigration, Canadian Border Service Agency and Service Canada.
