Orlando to speak at 2015 Back to School conference
Toronto critical injury lawyer Dale Orlando will share his thoughts on the changes to the definition of catastrophic impairment at the 2015 Back to School conference, hosted by PIA Law and the Toronto ABI Network.
The Sept. 10 event will examine the impact of the proposed government changes to automobile legislation in Ontario on the delivery of treatment to accident victims. The legislation proposes to reduce available funding for the treatment of seriously injured survivors of motor vehicle accidents.
Orlando, partner with McLeish Orlando LLP, a member of PIA Law, will join a panel discussion from 2:50 – 3:45 p.m. on the implications of the changes to the definition of catastrophic impairment for both patients and health-care workers.
This conference is designed for health-care professionals who treat, advise and advocate on behalf of the brain injury community, including social workers, discharge planners, occupational therapists, case managers, speech language pathologists and physiotherapists.
The event will run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel, located at 60 Yorkville Ave. in Toronto.
