After earning her Bachelor of Arts in 1992 and Bachelor of Laws in 1996 from Unisa and Witwatersrand University in South Africa, Ms. Kopping-Pavars was admitted as a lawyer in South Africa in 1998.

She immigrated to Canada in 2001, where she obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa (National Committee of Accreditation) before being called to the Ontario Bar in 2008.

Ms. Kopping-Pavars has been a meditation and mindfulness practitioner since 2009.

She completed Warrior One’s Mindfulness in Law Teacher Training with instructors Judi Cohen, Scott Rogers, Robert Chender, A.J. Kutchins and Alisa Gray. She then furthered her mindfulness teacher training when she went to study with the monks in northern Thailand.

Ms. Kopping-Pavars deepened her education by completing a mindfulness teacher training certification in Thailand.

She conducts workshops and retreats on mindfulness and emotional intelligence in North America and South Africa and continues to host meditation clinics for colleagues within Toronto.
