Mika Imai, an associate with the Toronto firm Karimjee Law, focuses on human rights and employment and labour law issues.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in international development studies from Trent University and earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2014. Ms. Imai was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015.

In her human rights practice, Ms. Imai assists those with discrimination issues in the workplace, when receiving services, or in housing.

Focusing on employment and labour law, Ms. Imai advises both employees and employers on matters such as negotiating severance packages and drafting workplace policies, as well as professional discipline and administrative law.

During her legal studies, Ms. Imai was awarded the Dean’s Gold Key Award from Osgoode Hall Law School for outstanding contribution to the life of the law school and participated in the intensive program in poverty law at Parkdale Community Legal Services in the Workers’ Rights Division.
