McLeish to co-chair annual guide to motor vehicle litigation

Toronto critical injury lawyer John McLeish will co-chair the annual Law Society program outlining the latest developments and recommended practices in personal injury motor vehicle litigation.

On March 31 and April 1, presenters will review the leading cases in tort and accident benefits from the past year, and set out the significant changes to the accident benefits system that come into effect on June 1. Attendees will also learn how to adjust their practice to be ready for the coming ‘digital trial.'

In addition to co-chairing the event, McLeish, partner with McLeish Orlando LLP, will co-moderate an interactive session on March 31 from 1:35 – 3:05 p.m., entitled ‘Ethical Dilemmas in Trial Advocacy: The Court’s View.’

And, from 3:50 – 4:15 p.m., McLeish will present a session on how to develop a case for damages for the profoundly brain-injured child.

On the second day of the program, McLeish will co-moderate an interactive session from 8:40 – 10:10 a.m. on ‘Advertising: Where is the Line and When is it Crossed?’ where panellists will discuss the ethical boundaries of advertising for personal injury practices.

This Law Society program on personal injury motor vehicle litigation 2016 will run from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on March 31 and from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on April 1 at the Donald Lamont Learning Centre, located at 130 Queen St. W. in Toronto.
