Joseph Doris, an associate with the Ottawa office of Howard Yegendorf & Associates, focuses on personal injury law.
He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in both public administration and political science from the University of Ottawa in 2014. Mr. Doris went on to graduate cum laude with his Juris Doctor from the university’s law school in 2017. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018.
Mr. Doris focuses on personal injury litigation resulting from motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and assaults, negligence and long-term disability claims, insurance disputes, product liability, and OHIP appeals.
In addition, he assists with tort litigation, statutory accident benefits, Canada Pension Plan applications, and occupier’s liability.
Mr. Doris has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario small claims court and has participated in dispute resolution processes, including mediations and pre-trial conferences.
During his legal studies, Mr. Doris was selected to serve as a law clerk to the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa where he assisted judges with criminal, regulatory, and appellate trials.
He is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association and The Advocacy Club.
