Elinor Shinehoft, principal of the Toronto firm Elinor Shinehoft, Barrister & Solicitor, focuses on family and personal injury law.
After graduating with high distinction with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical, Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern studies and archeology from the University of Toronto in 1997, Ms. Shinehoft went on to receive her Juris Doctorate law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2001. She later earned a post-graduate certificate in human resources management from Sheridan College.
Ms. Shinehoft was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002.
As a family and personal injury lawyer, Ms. Shinehoft handles domestic contracts, divorce, legal separation, child support and custody, spousal support, property division, collaborative law, and personal injury law matters. She has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.
Fluent in Romanian and conversant in French and Hebrew, Ms. Shinehoft is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Family Lawyers Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, and the Women´s Law Association of Ontario.
