Founder & Principal

Deepa Tailor, founder and principal of the Toronto-area firm Tailor Law Professional Corporation, focuses on family, employment and estate law, as well as civil litigation and small claims.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in 2009 and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa in 2013. Ms. Tailor was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014.

Ms. Tailor mentors law students through the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program and as a guest speaker at the University of Ottawa’s Business of Law class.

Outside of her legal work, Ms. Tailor served on the board of directors for Many Feathers, a non-profit that creates local community spaces focused on food security in urban and rural settings across Canada.
