Mark Dormer is owner and president of Cosgrove Associates Inc., a firm that helps law firms set up management systems to track and improve docketing, billing, collections, client retention and referrals.

Mr. Dormer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Toronto in 1986 and went on to manage the finance and administration of two mid-sized litigation law firms for more than 14 years.

He joined Cosgrove as president in 2002, and took over as owner in 2008, using statistical skills and a grassroots knowledge of law firm management and culture to improve client profitability. He is regularly retained to provide ongoing financial and administrative management services.

Mr. Dormer has presented to various law foundations and lawyer groups about law firm profitability.
