Second man charged in Hamilton barbershop stabbing death, police say
HAMILTON — A second person has been arrested in the death of a man who Hamilton police say was stabbed numerous times by three suspects in May.
Investigators say a man from Brampton, Ont., has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Carel Douse, who was inside a barbershop when he was initially stabbed on May 18.
Police say Douse ran out of the building, but the suspects chased him to the front of a home, where they allegedly continued to stab him.
Douse died in hospital later that afternoon.
Officers with the Hamilton and Peel police forces say they charged Daniel Wise — the second suspect in the case — with first-degree murder in Douse's death on Friday.
They arrested the first suspect, 22-year-old Samitar Hassan, in mid-June.
Police are still looking for a third suspect, who is the subject of a Canada-wide warrant.
