OBA offering webcast replay of Institute personal injury elder law session
The Ontario Bar Association (OBA) is offering a webcast replay of its “Personal injury and elder law: practice, policy and procedure” program in August, originally co-chaired by London personal injury lawyer Maia Bent, partner with Lerners LLP, earlier this year at the OBA Institute.
The session explores the evolving and expanding legal issues surrounding elders and personal injury and claims involving nursing homes.
During the presentation, speakers discuss the role of the coroner in an elder fatality case and in investigating death in a long-term care home, lessons learned from the Long-Term Care Homes Public Inquiry, and litigation trends in elder homecare negligence cases.
The webcast replay, featuring a live chat with presenters and co-chairs, will take place on August 21 from 1:15-3:15 p.m. and is eligible for up to two hours of Substantive CPD content.
