Neuberger to co-host live radio call-in show on legal issues
By Jennifer Pritchett, Associate Editor
Neuberger, senior partner at Neuberger & Partners LLP, and Honickman, legal analyst for AM640 and a partner with Brauti Thorning Zibarras LLP, will host the show, which will deal exclusively with the important legal issues of the day.
“We will tackle all serious legal, social justice and civil liberty issues that are front and centre here and around the world,” Neuberger tells AdvocateDaily.com.
Legal Briefs will kick off its first show on Feb. 14 from 7 - 9 p.m. and will be heard every Tuesday night at the same time.
Neuberger is thrilled to be a co-host on the show, which he says will give the public a great opportunity to call in to ask questions, make comments and engage in dialogue with legal experts.
“I feel there is an insufficient amount of sound legal commentary of important social justice, legal and civil liberties issues in Canadian media,” he says. “As a result, important cases and issues are not discussed in detail. Both Lorne and I have many years of experience in our fields and we hope to address pressing issues and engage directly with the public on these topics.”
Neuberger is certified as a specialist in criminal law by the Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC) with 24 years of trial experience. In addition to his Bachelor of Laws degree, he earned his Master of Laws degree with a specialty in criminal law from Osgoode Hall.
He frequently comments on legal issues in the media and wrote the book, Assessing Dangerousness: Guide to the Dangerous Offender Application Process.
