Hull to speak at LSUC primer on mediation for litigators

Toronto trusts and estates litigator Ian Hull will speak at an upcoming Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC) program, aimed at providing litigators with a primer on mediation, he tells AdvocateDaily.com.

On April 5 from 1 – 4 p.m., Hull, co-founding partner of Hull & Hull LLP, will join fellow presenters to share advice on how to choose the right mediator for a case, how to prepare a client for mediation, and how to draft an effective mediation brief, durable solutions and settlement agreements.

Speakers will also provide tips on strategy development for mediation and negotiation, how to prepare for the various ethical challenges that may arise, and how to analyze the role of “truth” in mediation.

The program is accredited for two hours and 30 minutes of Substantive and 30 minutes of Professionalism CPD content, and will take place at the Donald Lamont Learning Centre, located at 130 Queen St. W. in Toronto.
