Radnoff to discuss key considerations of settlement at LSUC program
Toronto commercial litigator and appellate counsel Brian Radnoff will share his insights on settlement agreements at the upcoming “A litigator's guide to enduring terms of settlement and releases,” program, presented by the Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC).
The April 20 event will help attendees understand the law governing settlement agreements and explain how to draft essential and enforceable terms.
Participants will become familiar with the relevant legal framework and be able to consider key provisions, including potential traps. They will also define the scope of settlement and mutual releases, analyze economic implications, including tax, escrow, collection, and costs, and learn about non-disclosure and non-disparagement provisions, violations, and remedies.
From 9:55 -10:30 a.m. Radnoff, partner at Dickinson Wright, will participate in a panel discussion outlining ‘key considerations.’
The program will run from 9 a.m. – noon at the Donald Lamont Learning Centre, located at 130 Queen St. W. in Toronto and is eligible for 2 hours 30 minutes of Substantive and 30 minutes of Professionalism CPD content.
