Webinar to explore filing a certificate of appointment of estate trustee
Brampton lawyer-linguist Suzanne Deliscar will share her insights into filing an application for certificate of appointment of an estate trustee through an upcoming webinar, presented in partnership with ezCPD.ca.
Aimed at legal practitioners beginning their careers or those without much experience in an estates practice, the Sept. 20 "Nuts and Bolts of an Application for a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee" course will walk participants through the steps they will need to follow to obtain either a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee With a Will, or a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee Without a Will.
The presentation will include a discussion of whether a certificate is needed, the documents and information needed before filing an application, preparation of the documents, serving the appropriate parties, calculating the estate administration tax, whether an administration bond is needed, and filing the application. The webinar will also provide annotated sample applications and supporting documents.
The program is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EDT and is eligible for 60 Substantive minutes of CPD content.
