Toronto criminal lawyer Melanie Webb is pleased to announce that Myles Anevich has joined Melanie J. Webb Barrister as an associate practising criminal and constitutional law.

The addition of Anevich is “a response to growing demand and will provide clients with the benefit of a solid team of results-driven professionals working together” to achieve the best possible outcomes, Webb tells

“His passion for criminal and constitutional law is a huge asset to the firm,” Webb says. “Paired with his solid academic background and client dedication, Mr. Anevich is committed to delivering the best possible results for our clients.”

Prior to joining Webb's firm earlier this month, Anevich practised at the neighbouring office of Breese Davies, who was recently appointed a judge of the Superior Court of Justice.

Anevich completed his juris doctor in 2016 at the University of Windsor and his master of laws at Columbia Law School.

While in law school, Anevich clerked at the Ontario Court of Justice for Justice Lloyd Dean, where he dealt primarily with criminal law matters. He also volunteered in the criminal law and small claims division of Community Legal Aid.

He graduated Columbia Law School with honours, has presented at a number of academic conferences, and had papers selected for publication in Canadian law journals.

Anevich was called to the Ontario bar in 2017 after articling for the Ministry of the Attorney General at the Windsor Crown Attorney’s Office.
