Andriessen to evaluate Ryerson LPP civil trials

On Dec. 14, Toronto business lawyer Inga Andriessen will be assessing the cross and direct examinations of candidates in the Ryerson Law Practice Program (LPP), as an evaluator of their civil trials.

Andriessen, principal at Andriessen & Associates, is a subject matter expert and mentor lawyer for the LPP, an eight-month training course/work placement that was developed as an alternative to traditional articling.

The evaluation will be held at Ryerson as part of the four-month practical training component of the program, which is delivered both in-person and online. As part of this phase of the LPP, candidates develop their skills using simulated legal practice scenarios and real-world situations delivered by lawyers, judges and members of administrative tribunals who are in practice.
