Woodyard to speak at Law Society taxation program
Toronto tax litigator Adrienne Woodyard will share her insights on advising clients with tax compliance problems at the upcoming ‘Taxation for General Practitioners 2016’ program, presented by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
The Sept. 16 event is aimed at helping lawyers who are not tax law specialists stay up to date on the latest developments, including the taxation of trusts, and the Ontario and Toronto land transfer tax. Speakers will also explain the importance of tax planning for professionals and the impact of the 2016 budget on the taxation of professional corporations.
From 11 - 11:30 a.m. Woodyard, a partner with DLA Piper (Canada) LLP, will discuss ‘Professionalism: Dealing with Non-Compliant Taxpayers and Tax Evasion’
The program will run from 9 a.m. – noon at the Donald Lamont Learning Centre, located at 130 Queen St. W. in Toronto, and is eligible for two hours 30 minutes of Substantive, and 30 minutes of Professionalism CPD content.
