Woodyard to host webcast on how to survive tax audits
Toronto tax litigator Adrienne Woodyard will host a webcast discussing strategies for surviving a tax audit.
Woodyard, a partner with DLA Piper (Canada) LLP, says that not all audits are created equal and many go off the rails when the auditor lacks appropriate experience, is ill-informed or is merely confused about the relevant facts or law.
Those attending the webcast, titled “When the Tax Man Calls: A Practical Survival Guide,” will learn how to navigate the audit process, learn practical tips for negotiation and settlement, and better understand their post-audit options, including tax appeals and requests for taxpayer relief.
The webcast takes place Sept. 17 from noon-2 p.m.
