PBLO launches next phase of the Investing in Justice Campaign
Pro Bono Law Ontario (PBLO) has launched the next phase of its Investing in Justice Campaign.
The access to justice charity bridges the gap between lawyers who want to donate their services and low-income Ontarians whose legal needs do not attract government funding. Like its clients, PBLO receives no government funding and relies entirely on private grants and donations to sustain its operations.
The Investing in Justice Campaign is the charity’s main effort to complement partial funding provided by the Law Foundation of Ontario and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Last year, PBLO helped over 14,000 clients thanks to the profession’s ongoing support. However, the need continues to rise.
