Cohen to co-chair fertility law course

Toronto fertility lawyer Sara Cohen will co-chair a program in Toronto this month, aimed at providing lawyers with in-depth and practical guidance on key issues in fertility law.

The Current and Emerging Issues in Fertility Law course, held through Osgoode Professional Development, is the first comprehensive conference on fertility law in Canada. The program is designed to provide lawyers who practice fertility law an opportunity to consider some of the more complex issues that arise or may arise in the future, including some that cross over into different practice areas, such as family, estates and immigration. It will also provide an overview of the key concepts to those who are new to the area.

In addition to co-chairing the program, Cohen will present a primer on the key concepts in fertility law, including an introduction to the Assisted Human Reproduction Act. Cohen will also take part in a panel on Ethics of Practice and Fertility Law, discussing disclosure obligations and tips of the trade.

The program is set to take place on Feb. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Osgoode Professional Development Centre, located at 1 Dundas St. W., 26th Floor, Toronto.

For more information or to register, visit the Osgoode Professional Development website.
