New marijuana regulations likely to improve product prices

Revamped regulations by Health Canada regarding the growth and distribution of medical marijuana is likely to result in better prices and an improved product, Toronto criminal lawyer Joseph Neuberger says in the Toronto Sun.

“Competition produces a better product,” he says in the Sun.

Neuberger's client, Sam Mellace, signed an application this week to become Canada’s first licensed medical marijuana producer, the Sun reports.

The new Health Canada rules mean licensed producers will soon serve medical marijuana to Canada’s roughly 30,000 authorized users, the report says.
